I need some help ASAP.

Last night I gigged my Bogner Modified Marshall.
Towards the end, it started to fart out, and the jack also became loose.

So, today, I plug in- and anything above 2 cuts in and out when I hit power cords.

I opened the amp up, and one of the input jacks solder joints was touching one of the pots'- so I moved it back, and tightened.

Fixed...for a second.

I changed all cords, tubes, and made sure the ohms were fine.
Whenever I touch the adjustable ohmage switch, there is a crackle. Whenever I take it off standby- there is a crackle. Whenever I plug in- it crackles.

Whats going on here?

Prior to last night, I had NO problems.

Steve

If something crackles when you wiggle it, that is descriptive of a bad solder connection. Check the impedance selector and make sure that it does not have any broken connections, shorts etc.

This is important as a bad impedance switch could cause to see no load  and that could potentially destroy your output transformer.

Check all the dumb stuff. Has this amp taken a fall recently? If it crackles when you wiggle it, give it a once over and check the solder joints etc.

I think one of the blue daly caps has a cold solder... I sent it back to the seller for a repair. Just so happens he is a tech for marshall's distributor in Canada. :)

I can't wait to get this thing back.

THANKS!
