Hi all,
I thought I might as well introduce myself. That might make me feel less like a lurker...
Great stuff, y'all! I have scoured the entire internet and this is where the truth can be found. Some seriously knowledgeable tone experts and players here.
I've been playing for more than 20 years (oi) and been in a few bands but mostly solo acoustic performance and some recording/production. These days, when my kids and job allow, I write and dabble with guitar-centric, Mac-based production using Reason and Ableton. I play a Taylor acoustic and a custom Dunlavey strat (amazing) through a 70's Weber-California-loaded Twin with various effects sitting in front of it (or not). I have various other guitars and amps in my collection but those are my standards.
I'm presently obsessed with my tone and got bit by the boutique amp bug. A Fargen Dual British Classic is on order, shortly. I have yet to decide on what cab and speakers it deserves.
Hailing form Atlanta, I'd love to meet up with some other players for some exploration and technique building. I love picking up new picking tricks or just enjoying the artistry of other musicians.
