That's really clean. I have one of the white Mission pedals - they look great.

Great rig!

Here's my rig setup for how I run in my home studio:

Recording rig = performance rig for me.

Add USB cable in (for direct recording) and XLR into interface (for direct monitoring if necessary or desired).

Fractal Audio Axe-FX II
Fractal Audio MFC-101
Mission Engineering Expression pedals (X3) (All mounted on a Pedaltrain Pro Board)
RCF NX 12-SMA (powered monitor)

When I record, I use the studio NF monitors I have (Mackie 624/JBL 2310SP sub) and/or use the RCF. Usually I just use the RCF for fun at home; it's job is for direct monitoring on gigs.

Here are some recent "on the gig" shots (this was prior to my adding the third expression pedal and moving from my Pedaltrain II to the Pedaltrain Pro); rest of the rig the same:

Where did you get the labels for the foot controller?

Nice rigs - very clean and good looking.

@Scott: I play the same FRFR monitor. It's very good :) How do you like the new Variax? Is it worth the money? I'm thinking about getting one of the Koreon ones to replace my Tele (that I really never play) and use it as an accoustic guitar replacement for live playing.
What do you do with 3 expression pedals? I hardly even use one (only for wahwah) :)

I love the neat pedalboards.

I did my first gig with my Ultra on 30/12 and here's what I went with.

I've done 5 gigs since and haven't updated the board yet.

I feel like a babe in the woods :)

Yes, the RCF is very good. I absolutely love the Variax. Mine is the USA model; it's an extraordinary instrument and with the added modeling, it's an incredible gigging and studio tool.

In my setup; the first expression pedal is an instant on/automatic off wah in every preset. The middle pedal is a wet/dry mix for effects for adjusting on the fly and the third is a 'more' pedal that turns up/down gains on drive/PEQ and effects rates (ie. Rotary speed). It's very fun.

I love the neat pedalboards.

I ran the same way as you are for years. I like the cool labels; makes everything just look cool. Doesn't add function (though mine do glow in the dark if you charge them up) but they sure as hell look bad ass.

@ Scott Peterson: ever compared the RCF NX 12-SMA (powered monitor) to an Atomic powered wedge?

Did you guys make or buy those short TRS cables? I finding it real hard to track those down with 2 right angle ends.

Is there a template or vendor for those sticky labels? Are they sized to work with the GCP too?

Not directly at the same time. Different beasts.

Give them a call and speak to a tech. They sell high quality custom made TRS cables. They also sell good Ethernet cables to connect the AxeFx to the MFC.

Hey mate,

I have an RCF NX-12SMA on the way to me right now and still have my Atomic powered wedge here, so will be able to provide some comparisons in a couple of weeks or so.

MY FRACTAL RIG.

So - Pretty Much finished my Rack and board. the exception is it still has an AFX Standard in it :( my AFX2 will be here Monday :)

So - From the Front:

From the Rear:

http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u65/paulmapp8306/rackrear.jpg

The Power Strip is a UK Surge protected 4 way screwed into the roof of the rack. Lead is secured and comes out of a gap which is possible as my rack has propper rails, not just holes. the 1U Rack blank at the top has 3 strips of Velcro secured round it for securing the power cable in transit:

and just in case I forget which OP is for what:

The MFC connection is Ethercon to prevent wear on the J45 connector. Currently its still via 7 Pin MIDI until the 2 gets here - however the board end:

and the adaptor is secured tightly as well:

forgot these bits - small but important. The Rack Lids. Each lid has 2 pairs of velcro loops in. these house my speaker cable, my Ethercon cable, and two guitar leads (one as a spare) during transit. I really dont have to carry much :)
