EVH 5150 III mini (50W) trials?

Has anyone tried the EVH 5150 iii mini yet? I haven't seen one in a store yet but I'm eager to hear any opinions.

I'd like to confirm where they are made.

I've read both Mexico and Viet Nam.

I was somewhat surprised at the Viet Nam suggestion. I wasn't aware that they were getting involved in electronics to this extent.

I just got one of these 4 days ago. Ordered from GC in October. It is assembled in Vietnam. Seems to be very high quality from what I can tell so far.

What does it sound like? Any comparisons in regards to other amps?

I'm intrigued by the one vid I saw online but I've not found a store in the Toronto area that has one in stock.

I posted this in another thread, but I'll post here also. I tried for two weeks to get a decent sound out of it. The tones I go for are VH, Dokken, Ratt etc. None of that in this amp. It sounded just like the YouTube videos, which are not good. I've heard great tones from the 100, just not the 50.
