So for the last six months ive been running a 30watt Bad Cat cub that I really liked but it was just too much amp for me, volume wise and weight wise. I got a call from the guy i bought the BC from and said he had a Lightening head and cab he would trade back for the cub so i went over today and played the lightening and fell in love.

Its got a 2x12 avatar cab with hellatones in them and it sounds great. Its not super loud but still is very full and is by far the most musical amp ive played. Im playing a few gigs this weekend up north so ill have some video taken and ill post some clips next week.

Great amp!
I have a 90s 2X10 combo that sounds great..
Very versatile amp that responds well to being managed from the guitar.

Like that it is also easier to lug around..
I also have an SC 30 that can be a back buster!

Enjoy that amp!!

Congrats mlweidl,im a bit jealous i admit :D Im gassing bad for a lightning head :(

What other options exist in the market that sound wise are comparable to the Matchless lightning? Here in Europe ,Matchless is really expensive and rare.

The Bad Cat cub 15 is similar right? Can you guys give me other otptions please?
