Is this a good deal? Bogner Uberschall

I went to a local guitar shop today to pickup some...pickups and I was talking with one of the guys about getting a Bogner Uberschall.

It so happened that one of the other guys working there is selling one. It was in the back for some repairs on the effects loop.

So we hooked it up, played it and I went :omg. NONE of the clips I have seen on this amp do it justice. The best way to describe it is it has some SERIOUS balls. I loved it.

We started talking about price and the repairs it needed, so the final price was $1550 total with all new EH pre/power tubes and the effects loop repair.

Cosmetically, it had some scratches/dings but still looked really good. I could eventually get those fixed if I wanted to but you can't really tell. The only thing I am concerned about is the loop getting fixed. I should mention this has a metal grill too.

Anyway, think this is a good deal?

Not a steal at all. The Uber prices have plunged over the last few years. Have seen them regularly go for around that price. I wouldn't pay more than $1400 for the one you describe.

Just looked on Ebay, the lowest I see there is $1800 and that is not the metal grill. Plus, all new tubes with a tech going through it. Starting to think it's a steal.

I think it's a good price. I love mine. Revision 2 and it is an awesome sounding amp.

Good price but not unheard of. I see a couple of Ubers sitting at 1700 and not moving these days. I think there is an Uber on EBAY right now for $1500 or so.
