THAT was cool! And the subject matter is perfect for Bluegrass.

THAT was exactly what I was thinking while watching. It sounds as if it originated as a Bluegrass tune. Well done.

It's cool to see the 'fingerings' used.
Here's the 20 year old version from Jerry Douglas:

Kronos Quartet (a classical quartet) does the full version of the Cream Crossroads jam with Jack Bruce bass parts and all of Clapton's leads. I can't find that anywhere, unfortunately.
This one below is kind of close - (no Jack bruce parts, just Clapton's leads)

The bluegrass 'Joe' kind of reminds me of the 1966 folk-rock versions by The Leaves, The Standells, Love, Byrds, etc.
The Leaves 45 was the 1st radio hit, at least in L.A.

That was great. Then I followed a related link for Sarah Jarosz -- and holy shit what a talent she is too!
TGP pays for itself yet again.

If you like Tim, check out his wife Mollie. She is great also.
Tim is more than just a mandolin/vocalist, he does it all. His band Hot Rize was one of the best and most innovative bluegrass groups out there.
Sarah is great also. But be sure to check out Sierra Hull as well.

Sierra is a little more traditional, but is equally talented.

That's also Tim O'Brien singing on Jerry Douglas' version. They usually pull that one out if they sit in with each other at any given festival.

Pretty sure Mollie is Tim's sister.
