Those guys are fantastic. Several years ago at NAMM I was wandering around and you could tell where the famous players and bands were due to the LOOOOOONG lines.

I walked past the BBE Effects booth and there was Will Ray leaning on the counter with his chin in his palm, totally ignored. I said hello and let him know how much I admired his playing. We ended up chatting for 20 minutes and he gave me a copy of Mojo Blues. A very nice guy and a helluva player. :)

Saw them this past Saturday at Deke Dickerson's Guitar Geek Festival. Awesome. I'd pay to see either of those guys play alone.

I've met Will Ray a few Times at G&L events, and agree with Rhinocaster - As great a guy as he is a player. Hope to see the others play one of these days.

More guitar fun than a "barrel of monkeys". ( I wonder what kind of fun a barrel of monkeys actually is?).
Anyway, LOVE the Hellecasters! Return Of is one of the all time great guitar albums, mind-blow after mind-blow!

Years ago I tried out for a band and didn't make the cut. Much later I discovered that the guy I was to replace was Will Ray who had left the band for CA. Now I don't feel so bad.

I'd feel pretty good if I got to try out for a band, and only Will Ray could outplay me! :)

That clip (with the song, "Terra Firma") was from last week out in L.A.
I hope they are going to put out another album, or at least tour.

Here's one of my absolute faves from the mighty Tele trio:

...Played at the Dallas guitar show jam back in 2006. When I walked on stage...Johnny A. handed me his guitar cable, and I discovered that I was going to be jamming with Johnny Hiland, Dan Toller, Jerry Donahue, Will Ray, and Greg Martin...It was a good thing it was Blues! :omg The Hellcasters are amazing!

I Have a few Hellecaster CD's as I love all kinds of Tele music, plus instrumental music- but can't play like that!

I had the Fender JD Tele for a few years, back in the late '90's... (the MIJ version of the Jerry Donahue model, in Crimson Red). Great pickup combinations w/2 PU's and a 5- way switch- plus a FAT-Ass Neck- twangy too!.....sadly needed $$, and sold the guitar.

Whoa they got back together at NAMM, huh? That is great news! Loves me some Hellecasters. I only got to see them once, and it was fantastic. I have never in my life seen that many white dudes with Fender shirts in one place. Imo, there should be a picture of those three dudes right next to the logo on all Fender products. They epitomize Fenderocity!

Did the Hellecasters play the NAMM last week? Wow, that must have been a treat! I saw them at NAMM many years ago, at a hotel ballroom, and they smoked the place! It was sponsored by Matchless, so they did the show with a whole buch of different Matchless amps, and sounded great all night.

Wow, thanks for posting the new video! Great to see those guys back together, even if for a short time. I wish they would tour again! They are all such nice guys, too.

I LOVE Will Ray's song "I Hate My Day Job", from his solo CD "Mojo Blues".

Paisley is a huge fan of John Jorgenson. I was lucky enough to see a video of them playing together in Nashville. It was an exceptional event IMO. I think it was at the Reunion of the Desert Rose Band last year or maybe the year before.

Like with your previous experience, they played an early saturday evening show at a nearby hotel ballroom. It seemed to be advertised to draw the NAMM crowd.

Hi guys, figured I would register since a couple of my videos are linked here...just a reminder that Deke sells DVDs of all the Guitar Geek Festivals about a year after the show, so if you are interested in the whole reunion DVD, it will be available on his site...

I really liked the Hellecasters!
