ampeg reverberocket r121r reissue cuts in and out while playing.. like the amp but is this going to cost me more than the amp is worth to fix the problem? Hell, its almost 20 years old,and $100 per hour bench time for the tech! Whats a poor old boy gonna do?

Had a similar problem recently, when the amp was hot it would cut out, come back, etc. Local amp guy couldn't pinpoint it, although he had it for months. Sent it to the manufacturer (Two Rock). Turned out they had seen the problem a couple of times before, due to some faulty jacks they had received and installed. The jacks would eventually short when hot, then they'd be fine after the amp cooled.
Great service from Two Rock by the way, thanks to Chad in repair.
And for any S Florida guys out there, PM if you'd like to know who the local guy was, so you don't waste your time and money with him.

jacks...either faulty or loose, loose ground or circuit connection, cold or fractured solder joint...thing to seriously consider
