I just got a new Taylor T5 Classic.

Since I have only played acoustic, I don't have any pedal.

But I'm performing tomorrow for the church.

I only have a small amp which cannot make the sound loud enough.

So, I think I have to use the PA System.

I need to play some backings for one song and acoustic strums for others.

But I don't think I cannot go back and forth from electric to acoustic like I did

with my amps if I use the PA System right?

And also Is it okay for me to connect my guitar directly through the PA system

without any direct boxes or pedals?

Because I have never really used an electric guitar, Please give me some

advices and tips about electric guitar, amps, PA system and Taylor T5.

Thank you.

You can go straight Into the pa from the t5. Stay on position 1 for acoustic sounds. It will sound great. If you want more traditional electric sounds you will need an a/b box and an amp.

If you're going into the PA direct, something like Taylor's K4 preamp might offer you a little control. I'm considering getting one with a small PA since the clips I heard seem better than anything I could get with an acoustic amp.
