Face it, all we really need in this subforum is just one thread, as every one of the 10,000 attenuator threads here starts and ends the same way. Same posters, same arguments, same warnings from the same mods about everybody knocking off the arguing.

Big Iron

Some get it, some don't.

Small Amps

Here you can post about how great your two-watt thingy sounds great cranked. Just don't ask about how to get it to keep up with a drummer and stay clean, because everybody who has the answer is over in the Big Iron section.

The Glass House

Largely a Pub subforum, but there is ample room for posts from the other sections. If you are truly perfect, your shit don't stink, and you have the overpowering need to point out just how flawed everybody else is, rejoice! This section is JUST FOR YOU!!!

The Best Of...

Any thread that starts with "What Is The Best..." goes in here. There will be thousands of threads, but nobody is going to get a definitive answer in any of them. There is no "best", this stuff is all subjective to personal needs and preference. Deal with it.

Thinly-Veiled Agendas

This section is for those that feel the need to inject their personal political agendas into completely unrelated conversations. Here's your very own section, folks, have at it. There won't be any arguing to worry about, because nobody that posts these things ever bothers to read anything that anyone else is saying anyway, they just feel the need to point out why the current administration is to blame for the demise of point-to-point amplifier construction.

I specifically opened this thread to post exactly this.

I think we should expand it to include figures of historical significance. We hire some uber-nerd computer geek squad to program a simulation, then bet on the outcome.

Up first: Rosie O'Donnell vs the Marquis de Sade.

Also, we need a sub forum for self defense. Guns vs burglar alarm, traditional MA vs dogs, MMA vs becoming a shut in vs your neighbor who's a Navy Seal, and so forth.

No infractions given when posting in this section (or celebrity death match for that matter). Otherwise membership would get, *ahem* thinned.

If anything, I'd like to see fewer sub-forums. For example, there was a great discussion in the Sound Hound forum from a beginner jazz guitarist looking for ideas/explanations. I think, this "properly" should have been moved to:

In all seriousness, I think many parts of TGP are laid out really well, especially The Gear, and The Emporium sections.

But The Sound Hound Lounge and The Pub are often times a mess.

Take a look at the front page of The Rush Forum. In particular, look at the lower half, called General Discussion. They have things divided up really nicely.
