What are the best NOS tubes for Marshall circuits?
Both for plexi and jcm800 (high octane) series circuits ... PP and SE
I am a long-timer over at ax84 and have some built some amps with marshall type preamps and variations in the power section
6V6, 6550 and EL34 ............... I even have a HO preamp w/ 12au7 in PP
I just snagged a quad of nos RFT's to compare with sed's

Mullards and Marshalls go together like soup and sandwich. Real Mullards and real Marshalls. I don't know anything about Marshall like amps except for my Ganesha which is all Mullards.

NOS Mullards are certainly the only thing that comes to mind.
Nothing compares.(thats subjective of course)
Now for preamp tubes, thats a different story.
Thats where you can craft a really personal tone. of course NOS mullard ax7,at7 , rft just to name a few...

Mullard EL34's are the bees knees by most accounts. I happen to like RFT/ITT/Siemens EL34's myself.

6V6s in a plexi or 800? Did I miss something? Is someone making these amps with suitable plate voltages for 6V6s(besides Germino)?
Mullard or NOS Tesla (NOT JJ) El34s.
Brimar CV4004/12AX7s.
Brimar 6V6GTYs for the Germino Masonette.

What 6v6 will take 400-425 on the plates?

Any NOS 6V6GT will handle that without breaking a sweat (if biased properly) . The JJs will reportedly take it, but I don't trust any of the other new production 6V6s.
