Looking for a nice Jumbo (like a gibby j200) but don't have the scratch for the gibby.
anyone know some good alternatives?
brand and all of that jazz doesn't matter to me.
Big and loud is what i want.
thanks!

I bought a used Epiphone Elitist J-45 on Ebay for $710.00. The guitar is better acoustically and quality control wise that my late 90's Gibson J-45.
Breedlove has an outstanding jumbo for both 6 & 12 string. I have both at my store and they are favorites.

Have you looked at a J100 extra?
The new ones are made of ovenkol but I have a super flamed maple one that is killer. They made mahogany ones too that are very sought after.
They are a J200 with out the bling bling and the big ugly tone killing pick guard. Without the pick guard, they sound really big and bright. I think the guard deadens the top. They are WAY cheaper than a J200.
I also like Guild Jumbos.

+1 for a Guild Jumbo. Just check the year and build date as I have no real experience with the Fender era stuff

You want something affordable, huge, and big big volume? Check out the Alvarez AJ60SC. The thing is massive and could wake the dead :) I have the 12-string version of it, these guitars sound great and IIRC are in the neighborhood of $500 or less.
