Yes
No, Or I don't know what that is.

chrisrocksusa
02-15-2012, 10:07 AM
Absolutely. At this point it's also a comfort issue. When I was in basic I still did my manscaping despite knowing I would not be having sex for the next 10 weeks. I thought this was standard for the you get generation (under 40) but most guys thought I was crazy.

Only on my beard, does that count?

Yes. I'm hairy and it makes me uncomfortable. I just feel better about myself afterwards.

Jahn

If the insides of your nostrils count, then yes. No one wants to see you braid your nostrils together by the hairs.

Yup. I'm a hairy bugger and it's a comfort issue.

Laplacian

Not really for aesthetics, just necessity. Funny thing is I didn't even have to shave until I was into my twenties, now I have to trim my shoulders !! and my chest and beard will connect if I don't "shave long". eeesh.

Seems kind of unfair to be going bald at the same time.

Absolutely! The wife really appreciates it as well. Especially when the nether regions get trimmed up. I mean, who wants to deal with anything all jungle hairy?

Since I have been into weight training I even shave my arms to better see the musculature underneath...I just like it...so what?

Strangely, though, I like my beauty queen wife, who was Miss Cherokee Eastern Band, totally natch with her pubes. Her pubic hair is short and straight and black as a crow...very silky and beautiful...I could hang out there all day.

No...to prove it, wife gave me my first nose hair, ear hair and eyebrow trimmer yesterday...in my ignorance, I accidentally ran the thing over my left eyebrow and apparently the plastic guard covering the blade had fallen off without me noticing it.

Yeah. And no, pics will not be provided...

It's good for both genders to keep it neat and trim. But totally bald is just wrong, IMHO.

Yes. All the unmentionable bits plus chest, nose, ears, the works.

Speaking of unmentionable bits, do NOT make the mistake of trying to trim the hedges down there without a guard on your clippers. I have a line of little scars in a rather sensitive place to prove the folly of this practice.

in the summer, i'll shave the arms and legs. i'm down South and in 100+ degree weather, it's a comfort issue. plus, it looks better with shorts/short sleeves.

but yeah, i don't really miss that patch of above-the-butt hair, the strays on my back, etc.

b/c of the nature of that skin I would think it'd be prone to tearing, and certainly hurt a hell of a lot more.

the sack is not my concern, I don't get shaving bumps on the sack. The mane is what I'd like to wax

No tearing, and it hurts less than other places, higher up. Ever since the doctor dry shaved the sack with a disposable razor before my vasectomy, I've been impressed with the structural integrity of the scrotum.

So, I guess you are against women shaving their legs, arm pits, or shaving/trimming hair on any other part of their bodies - you just "cope" with it?

I was getting a sandwich today and happened to notice a new place called "Knockouts" next door, so I wandered in. I guess it's a chain specializing in male grooming by Hooter's type attendants. The ladies told me they specialized in manscaping. After reading this thread, I may have to go back for a "terms of service" review.

Seriously though, are we really talking about this here?

Some guy was hacked off in a thread where guys were talking about the names they gave their guitars. I think one guitar was called "Corey." This really made the guy want to throw his b'fest, I think, is the way he put it.
Hey whatever. I thought the guy was being a little intolerant. But.....
I guess I gotta look at this thread........, and now that I know what the devil it is being discussed here, I gotta admit that I'm getting old and grossed out by my own brothers. Hey. I guess styles change.
But I come back here and find guys talking about coloring their hair and what's going on in their underwear and I gotta tell you......I thought I was open-minded and pretty accepting and understanding.....but I, uh ....:huh
This guy is saying he will stick to the Pub now because someone didn't thank him for the schematic he drew. Maybe I should stick to threads on music theory.

Same here...BAD ones too. I had to go to the doctor to have them fix it and I screamed like I had a gunshot. Very painful

This is going to sound crass. Dont read if easily offended. Look away. Go no further. Stop reading. You have been warned of the crass nature of this post. Read no further.

Worked on building sites in very hot climates.
You can smell the hairy unkempt guys sweaty below the belt regions from quite a distance.
Quite often you have to work in close proximity in stinking heat and these non grooming guys fricking reek of sweaty ball bag and crack.
Man up and do the right thing ya smelly primate's. Groom for the sake of others around you.

I don't know why some guys go nuts (pun intended) over this subject. I HATE to sweat, unless i'm working out or doing labor or whatever. And being of mixed Italian heritage doesn't help the matter. I will do whatever i have to do to reduce the instance of unnecessary perspiration.

Air hitting your skin is MUCH better than air hitting your hair. Plus there's the subject of heat rashes and stuff.

But we can clearly see who feels "threatened". :rotflmao
