ClinchFX EP Pre hissing

I got an EP Pre last week. Running into the blue channel of my Bogner Ecstasy with the volume about half up I noticed some fairly loud hiss when the pedal was on, but an unacceptably loud hiss when I turned the pedal OFF. This was with the boost knob set around 9 o'clock.

Is that normal? I was powering it with a Danelectro Zero Hum 9V supply.

Definitely NOT normal at all. The pedal is very quiet and totally killer...if working properly. Peter is terrific and will help you right away!
