Disturbed is a great hard rock band. Nice to see Dan Donegan be able to rip off some guitar solos nowadays.

I really like Donegan's guitar work.

He's got the best modern high-gain tone I've heard and his solos are very tasty.

Disturbed and Killswitch are my two favorite metal bands of the past decade.

One of my all time fave bands. I always have their music in heavy rotation on my I-Pod. I agree that it is great they are allowing Donegan to step out more with his solos/guitar work. Great stuff!

I like'em myself. I've found 5 finger Death punch to be pretty good as well.

I agree with you...how's he getting his tone? What kind of amp does he record with?

He's used a lot of stuff over the years. IIRC, originally it was a Gibson LP into Marshalls and/or Mesa Triple Recs with a rack effects.

He's also used Randalls.

He uses Schecter Signature Series guitars and Randall Module Amps, I really like the tightness of his recorded rythym sound and think his more recent solos show a tastefull execution of dexterity and feel for each song.

I have a CD or 2 of them, i like it and can take it in doses

Some of the rhthym guitar work is kinda repetitive (and the songs) and he didnt solo on the first CD or so, its nothing great/groundbreaking but i can take it in small doses, the singer has a ok voice imo, no harm no foul :dunno
