This is funny as heck! I showed my daughter the pics in this thread and when we got to Chiba (who she's met several times in person), she said, "He looks like a mutant rabbi!" :D Edit: I should qualify that she said it in a complementary fashion (as in, "cool dude"). :)

You know, sometimes you kick yourself right in the ass for something so simple, so 'I shoulda remembered that'...

(BTW...Mutant Rabbi...ROFL!!)

It wasn't until mid-afternoon on Saturday that I realized I'd forgotten to invite some of the locals, especially Jon S! I don't remember who exactly it was, but somebody said, 'You know, I was hoping to check out a Reverend today...where's Silberman??' I think I mumbled something like 'kids... baseball ... soccer... uhhhh...'

For anybody local that got forgot this time around, I won't forget you next time. I think in my worries that my house wouldn't be big enough, I kind of stopped adding to the list once we hit about 20 people, forgetting that there's no event at which everyone that says 'yeah, baby, I'm in' shows.

The short version: Ron gave the new SC-X prototype away as a door prize at the Thorn Gathering last weekend. Through his amazing generosity, and the amazing generosity of Eric too, I somehow lucked into winning it. (I had a hard time not falling to pieces, to tell the truth.)

It's here. It rules. And you should order one for yourself. You'll not find a better guy to do business with (and the guitar people who hang out at Thorn events are cool too...).
