so i have a pedal being delivered today. i'm out of town. the package will not be in danger of being seen, or exposed to any direct weather, but it will be below freezing, 28-30 degrees, all night. i'm trying to think of how this could affect the pedal, but can't think of anything.

is it okay to let it sit outside overnight?

probably no effect unless higher humidity with that temp, and if packaged well and sealed, probably no effect from that either...would let it warm up to room temp before I fired it up though...yes, I would think OK to be left outside ovenight...

what kind of pedal is it? most electronic components have no issue with cold, i would make sure that it's nice and dry inside and out once you get it, but other than moisture concerns, i say that it should be fine.

some old transistors and caps might freak out though...

Yarr should be ok, just let it sit at room temperature for a while before doing anything with it.

I wouldn't worry about it. Enjoy your pedal.
