Which amp would work best at getting great clean sounds and also great overdrive sounds ala Robin Trower, Warren Haynes? I'm considering a Budda superdrive either 30, 45, or 80, a Bogner Shiva, a Bad Cat Hot Cat 30r, a THD Flexi 50. Iwant an amp that is easy to set and forget. I also need an amp with great sustain, punch, and articulation. Thanks.:dude

maybe check out something along the lines of a jtm-45. the marshall RI's are great for the price (used) if you throw some kt-66's in them, but the germino's totally slay hard. bluesy fluid drive, beautiful cleans, and not too many knobs to screw with. very plug in and JAM type amp. the germino 45 or a used jtm-45 RI with a germino 2x12 gets my vote. killer.

Guytron FV 100 listen to clips on the website all the recording parameters are detailed with no hidden effects or tweaks done to the amp. This amp does sound like the clips http://www.guytron.com/ go to the clips section. The only downer of the amp is it's not easy to tote around. I bought this amp after hearing it live then listening to the clips on the website, I have not been disappointed, in face I'm liking the amp more and more.

Check Guitar Player's October issue in print or online- great review. A bit pricey, but who doesn't pay to play?!

Best Clean and Warren Haynes in one box. Suhr CAA OD 100 hands down. I have pretty much owned almost every amp out there and the CAA OD 100 does the best at this.

Yeah, I saw that. Awesome amp. But, don't you want to try a dual amp rig? :D

I have the same problem .
I've been on a Amp hunt for 2 months.
I bought a Dr. Z Prescription ES , took it back
couldnt get rid of all the highs ,
bought a Orange Rockerverb 100 ,Took it back ,
Bad design, tube voltages were to cold and to change it would void the warranty and cost $150.00 in tech fees .
AB'd a Matchless SC30 & Badcat Wildcat 40r . both had issues, mostly with the preamp tube /rectifier ,Ringing and noises .
Bought a Badcat , Hotcat 15 . I like it but it has some Issues with crossover sounds ect. I'm gonna take it back I think . I'll give it another day or two and see .
Finally today , it came to me, I know a guy that makes cool amps by hand so I went to see him. He said he would make what ever I wanted so we sat down and detailed it out . The thing is I'll get a great Amp , the way I want it and it will be cheaper than all of those other amps . It's called a Blueverb . bluesamps.com
Nice guy, good price, made by hand, the way I want it, not what they have on the shelf .
Hope this helps you, Oh! by the way, before you buy a Marshall product , ask Smitty , the guy at Blueverb about them .
