Gibson Sonex?

Anyone ever play one? Have any experience with one? I had never heard of them up until about 5 minutes ago. And after doing a little research, it seems like a good platform for a Fender Guy to jump into Gibson land a bit eh? Pretty cool looking too!

I've got one. Heavy, I guess close to 10 lbs. Mine has the original dirty finger pickups which are hot. I like it but don't play it that much.
for the right price its a cool guitar.

My boss has one that's very cool. He put Alnico II Pros in it. Sounds awesome. Cool looking guitar, too.

I had one for years, it was my first "real" guitar. I eventually sold it when I got really hard up for cash at one point. It played fine, but it was a brick to strap on. The Dirty Fingers pups were pretty hot and it sounded great with OD pedals or pushing an amp hard. It didn't sound that great as far as cleans, though. YMMV.....

I've had mine since 1983. I was 14 years old and my dad bought it for me brand new.

It was my main guitar for about 10 years.

All the hardware was rusted out and the guitar was beat to crap... but a few years ago I overhauled it and I'm extremely happy with the results.
