Looking for recommendations on guitar repair shops / people in the metro-Atlanta area.

A big plus if they are experienced with Rickenbackers.

If you could get it to Randy Wood in Savanah that would be the ultimate

Of course its too far to normally drive, but the guy is incredible

Jason at Too Many Guitars in Tucker does great work. Not sure about Rickenbacker experience though

I imagin he can work on anything

He was one of the guys who started Gruhns. He has made guitars for a lot of big names. and he himself is a big name in blues grass. Made instruments for Bill Monroe, etc.

He is a craftsman more than anything

Kind of high end

Randy Wood doesn't list repair services, only builds? Does he do repairs too?

I just dropped off a couple guitars with Jake Sharp. He came highly recommended by fellow TGPer jjboogie. I can report again when I get them back; I'm looking forward to seeing the results myself.

He was working out of Boutique Guitar Exchange, but now he operates out of Wizard Electronics.

He has done little things for my brother like set up his strats, change pick ups etc, and I had him shave a neck and put a good rosewood finger board on for me. Now this was 10 years ago

I would guess you pay for his services but he has a outstanding reputation, but has built guitars for guys like clapton, billy gibbons, etc.

Had a small-ish shop in his yard when I was there with several musicians hanging around playing bluegrass.

I also had good commuication with him, I say e-mail him, especially if you need anything big done
