those pickups will sound pretty huge in that guitar - no doubt ... i have that exact pair of pickups in another guitar, and they are incredibly versatile .... find the sweet spot on pickup height and use the volume knob(s) to set your overall level(s) ... with the right amp settings, pups on 8 will get you clarity and goosing them to 10 will get you the grit ... the 59 in the neck will absolutely sing in overdrive
500k pots / audio taper
i bet youre going to really like it ...

The SH-1 will be a really great pickup in that guitar. The SH-15 with an Alnico 8 is going to be a pretty hot pickup. It may work for your needs but you may find it to be too overpowering sometimes. Its definitely worth a try. For more jazzy stuff you may need to keep the pickup a little lower than you would with another to get a little more clarity out of it. For the Rock stuff I think you will find it to be a great pickup.

You might want to have a look at the PUPS Ibanez puts in the AM93. I like them alot. Lower output, alnico. Neck is warm and round, bridge cuts but not shrill. nice balance. they overdrive very well. Custom 58 is what they are called.
