ac30 footswitch issues

hey yall, i havent logged into gearpage since 09. cant believe its been that long.

i have an ac30cc with the reverb / trem footswitch. the trem button on the footswitch is not working. can i use any 2 button switch to replace that or do i need to get a vox one?

are you sure the switch on the trem side is bad or do you have the wrong type cable?

You have to use a stereo cable on those to make both the trem and verb work

ive used the one that came with it and a guitar cable and still only the verb works.

Did the footswitch ever work correctly with your cables? If so, it could have a broken connection.

You need to make sure you're using a stereo cable with jacks that looks like this:

yes the reverb works i use it daily. must just be the trem side thats out.

Just to add to this, every AC30CC i've tried had that same problem with the footswitch...try another one and see what happens, that's just my experience, but i'm willing to bet a fair few more people have experienced the same thing.

You could just replace the switch in the footswitch. A much cheaper fix.
