I took a big leap and purchased an Empress ParaEQ. I'm happy with the power and utility of this pedal for sure. I am less confident in my own equalization basic knowledge. So I ask for any tips, tricks, online "must see" resources and general advice so that I can move beyond my current simple "bass-treble" mentality. Please post any ideas because I'll read them all. Knowing frequencies to boost/cut for different reasons is one area I'm particularly interested in.
Thanks,
Barnzy

I check back to this eq primer often when I'm mixing.

You're welcome! Looks like it's moved recently. My bookmark at the house isn't working.

First...when the pedal is off, get the best tone you can with the amp/guitar tone controls...
then set the pedal flat (doesnt effect tone), turn it on, and start tweaking...this ia how I set my eq pedal. I dont have a frommel but I assume this will work as well...iom an eq should be for slight tweaking, not major adjustment...if you need major adjustment, the problem is your amp or pickups...imo of course
