Got some extra $ in paypal - what fancy pure nickel strings do I need to try?

Have $28 in paypal and figured I'd try one or two sets of fancy strings. I usually use D'addario pure nickel .11's, but want to see what the fuss is about some of the more expensive ones.

So, what will $28 get me? What site should I shop and what should I buy? I'd love to try two different brands for comparison's sake. I'd like to try something with a wound G as well... so maybe I need a set of .12's.

Try a set of Thomastik Blues Sliders and a set of Pyramids. Both are nice.

Pyramids are good. I got mine from www.juststrings.com
I also like Ernie Ball pure nickles, the ones thst say "Rock n Roll" on them.

Update: got some Pyramids cheap at Strings and Beyond, which has a 15% off sale right now! Best price I could find out there for Pyramids in .11's with a wound G.
