Missing the garbageman is a pretty big blunder once the weather warms up. But it happens.

It depends on where someone lives and, apparently, what the driver(s) have planned for the rest of the day. I have seen them come anywhere from 6:30AM- noon, here.

correct response is complete silence on the matter ... as if it never happened ... any response rewards / encourages it
if she has somethign to say to express dissatisfaction with something, she has to learn to bring it up with respect - then it should be quickly, honestly, openly, lovingly met with respectful conversation to resolve

"If I'm demoted to a**hole now, then that's a good sign that it's time for us to find lawyers. I don't want you to live with an a**hole, and I sure as heck don't comprehend why you would want to keep one."
If she agrees, then it's time to get out. If it stuns her, then it's the first step to making her realize she is not making her contribution to the relationship.

Princesses don't take out trash? They'd have their husband do it? :)

"Hey, thanks for reminding me to....but seeing as how that simplicity is beyond you I will carefully guard the trash from now on".
Proceed to move the trash in view of where you spend the most time, buy a twelve pack and be sure to spend the majority of your time to carefully watch that most important task, vigilantly at your post now given to you as your top priority. All those other things you have been attending to are obviously no longer your intended concern. If needed be sure to keep a pair of binoculars close at your side as well just in case there is cause for any intruder alarm and so you can closely monitor each use so the remaining capacity can be carefully calculated on an on-going basis. This is of course a science, so place the bathroom scale under the can as well. Always do exactly as you are told!

Here was one potential reply
"I call Dr. ***** and set up an appointment for you...something is seriously wrong if you cant take a f****** garbage bag out to the can yourself"
or:
"that garbage can wont be the only thing Im kickin to the curb if you cant shut that pie hole"
or:
"let me go through your shoe closet and purse drawer before I take the garbage out, beeyotch"
this whole exchange between her and I was tongue and cheek...she was serious about leaving the garbage but new I would laugh at being called an a**hole...we werent really fighting...not yet anyways ;)

Well, get to it then! You can't have make-up sex without having something to 'make up' for.

I used to be a residential g-man.
Hoo boy.......I have seen some MAJOR domestic driveway
brawls on garbage day with couples getting trash out to
the curb. Bags ripping open, husband being screamed at
because there MIGHT still be a bag or 2 around back.
But.....sometimes.....hotties running out to the curb, disheveled,
bathrobes flying open.
But.....sometimes.....NOT so hot. Yeah....still have some traumatizing
image flashbacks of wildebeest sized housewives plodding out to
the curb, cankles rubbing, on a windy day, in a nightie....:barf

Turn it into a game where you see how high you can pile up the garbage. The person who puts the last piece on, causing the pile to fall over, has to take it out. Kind of like Garbage Jenga.
