Replacement tele neck???

Hey gang -

I didn't want to threadjack another poster, so I figured I'd ask this here...

If I wanted to buy a tele neck, what's the best choice??? (I'm pretty sure I'm going with a rosewood neck)

Official Fender neck (man... there's expensive on Ebay!!!)

I had a customer bring in a guitar for repair that he put together from warmoth. I was really surprised at the quality of the neck. Fretwork was great, woods were nice, and finish was great too.

On the other hand I've seen a mighty mite neck and I would not recommend that at all. finish was not very good, and frets were high in quite a few spots. Wood was nice though.

All Parts make a good neck too.

Have not tried USA but many love them
Allparts I have handled but not played.

After just seeing one the other day I believe they are.

I've been putting a finish on an Allparts Fat tele neck. I am quite impressed with the quality of this neck. It also has all the features I wanted, vintage look, 9.5 radius, fat U shape and large fretwire. There is no flame or birdseye, but so what. It'll be a good month before I do the final sanding/polish and assembly on this tele I'm building, but I will probably post about it with some pics when it's done.

Over the years my taste has changed to love the plain maple backs. Quatersawn is beautiful to me now ;)

I like a little character to the figure, but nothing over the top. But what really matters is how it feels in your hand and how it lends itself to the tone of the instrument. I bought the Allparts neck for about $130 shipped to me and it was brand new. I bought a bargain USACG body from their website for $109. I'm going to spend more money on hardware and pickups than on the wood and finishing supplies. The Allparts neck fits the USACG body like a glove.

Warmoth would be my choice.
Ken offers the widest variety of neckshapes and qualities along with the different gauges of frets; even scalloped fretboards are no problem.You won´t be disappointed!
