On average, how much will a luthier charge to route my tele body for a bridge humbucker? I have a friend with the necessary machinery but neither of us have any experience doing this and I'd rather have it done well.
P.S. Please don't tell me to get a single coil sized humbucker and skip the routing. ;) I've got some WCR pups I wanna drop into an American Deluxe Tele.

generally about $30-50 - depending on whether he's routing your guard also

Thanks Dan! My brother owns one of your Tele builds and he swears that he wants to be buried with it. :aok

Take the time to make a template - doesn't take long and it's well worth the time. If you use 1/4" material get a short, top bearing template bit and use a plunge router. If you make it from 1/2" and use a long bit you'll be removing a lot of material on the first pass.
