Klein pickups

Just wanted to put a plug out for this guy again. I am building another tele and am using his pickups again. If anyone is considering strat or tele pickups, I think you would be very happy with his sounds. Unbeatable clarity and silence.

Chris Klein's S-5 pups are awesome. I also have his mini humbucker/Esquire pups in my Tele. I wish he made a set of Filtertrons for a La Cabronita build I am putting together.

I heard some of them at the Cat 5 amps booth at the Dallas Guitar Show on Saturday. They sounded good, but I ended up getting a set of the Amalfatano SP's, and I'm just blown away by them so far.

From what I heard from the Cat 5 guys, they are both on that sort of level.

My epic 56 set is too good for words. The best yet. SOOOOO musical, responsive, etc.............

Although my incoming Ellis late 50's with hot bridge set should be even better. But I don't think anything else could be.

I've got Klein 69 reverse stagger pups on my K-Line '69 Strat. Holy crap they beat out the A.Y. custom shop 69's by a mile.Fantastic with lots of chime.

Chris builds great pickups, answers emails very timely, and usually ships a day or two earlier than promised. Other winders should hire him to run their companies. His "esquire" tele wind is as good as anything out there.

After being a repeat buyer and purchasing several diffeernt models I purchased Firebird pickups and did not care for them. I read the return policy of 14 days. Well he said he would not let me return because I original purchase/order date exceeded. It took 12 days to process/ship. So I had two days to evaluate? Worst customer service in the Biz. Will never buy again. Great product just hope you never have a need to return

Interesting first post. You claim they are great pickups but want to return them. So you post a negative comment about a great pickup w/ bad customer service.

I love my Klein pickups, all three sets that I have. And Chris has been wonderful to deal with. Sorry to hear your great pickups weren't the right ones because of the customer service.

I bought one of his Broadcaster pups a bit back. It's sweet.

I never had a problem either but the again I did not need to work something out. I have bought over ten pickups in the past.This is a bummer to like somebodys product and want to use it but to receive such poor service. His website offers 14 day return. Shipping build time etc 12 plus days.He states 14 days from purchase date. How can one install evaluate and return in one or two days. I have never returned a pickup to anyone before. I am one of the most reasonable buyers out there but this is over the top.

I am not posting to get even with Klein. I am posting for others to be aware that the return policy of 14 days from date of purchase is essentially no returns at all as you most likely wont receive them until that time period is almost up or expired. If you dont wish to ever return to him then you will be fine

I bought a set of super low output S6 strat pups from him and I love them. Opened my eyes to a cranked amp and working with the volume control on the guitar.

I forget what the question was, but I emailed Mr Klein around 2 am one night and he replied almost immediately.

Not sure about the return policy issue. When I bought my pups, my card wasn't charged for them until several days after I received them.

Anyone have a set of his Firebird pups ? The demo clips sound fantastic.

I have no problems with PlayGTR's post. There's nothing wrong with TGP, get off your high horses and learn to take the bad with the good and draw your own conclusions. In the end, vote with your wallet!
