Can anyone help identify what have been done to the lead guitar in the song Underdog by Kasabian, any information would be helpful (post fx, recording techniques etc.)
It's one of the most unique sounding guitar-tracks I've heard in years and I'm left pretty stumped on how they achieved it.
Cheers guys

What section of the song exactly are you trying to figure out? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gw09tAcNB0Q The solo that starts at 2:42? I don't hear anything that is that unusual or unique in the song.

The solo guitar, and the guitar playing the main motif during the introduction.

The main riff sounds like a low gain fuzz factory setting, the solo is faux reversed, maybe just a volume pedal or something like a slow gear/swell pedal. cool song.

Cheers mate, I've always been curious about what they used, live their sounds are less interesting but in the studio they manage to squeeze some really interesting textures from their guitars.
