Here's the newest addition to the family, a '95 PRS Custom 22.

I am SO happy with this one! It has the very comfortable wide thin neck, Dragon 1 pickups which sound amazing, and a very dark fretboard which I really dig. The only modification I know I'm going to do is replace the rotary knob with a 3 way switch like I did with my Standard.

And her sister, who normally has Moon inlays but I put bird stickers over them.

Very nice. Dig the black and while pair.

Is the black one not also a Standard though? The top looks opaque...

Very cool. Nothing beats the quality of a good PRS imo.

Really dig it. Totally badass. I'm a big Cu24 fan, and those older ones with D1 pickups really sound great.

I thought so too! I already nicknamed them "Vader" and "Storm" lol

It's not opaque, it has a glossed finish. Looking it up though, I see there are a few Standards similar to this, so it could be. Whether it's Standard or Custom, I'm still very satisfied with it!

Opaque as in not transparent. From the pictures it looks as though you can't see the wood through the finish. I think that's what differs the there's no "natural binding" which suggests it's solid mahogany rather than mahogany and maple, which I believe is the difference between a Standard and a Custom.

Either way, great guitar. Do you notice much difference in sound between the two? Are they the same pickups?

Ah then yes it is Opaque as it is solid black. And yes I think you're right, Customs tend to have binding, so perhaps it is a Standard.

Edit: Forgot I have the tag. It says Custom 22.

The black guitar has Dragon I's and the the white one has HFS and Vintage Bass. The Dragons seem slightly darker, more mid ranged, not as sharp on the high end but similar output. The Dragon bridge is better on my clean channel than the HFS.
