Loving on this track atm, which is New Orleans with some Asian influence (namely in instrumentation)

I'm just looking for some albums which has some stuff like this on it, its very hard to know what to google.

I had found this which is somewhat similar to what i'm looking for

I'm a Louisiana boy and I'm not exactly sure just what the "sound" you're looking for is("Asian instrumentation"). But, you cited an album by "Sweet Emma" Barrett as being "in the ballpark"; so, I would suggest that you see if you can find an album she made back in 1961, entitled, "Sweet Emma": The Bell Gal & Her Dixieland Boys, Featuring Jim Robinson".

It was released on the Riverside label, #OJCCD-1832-2(RLP-9364).

As the title indicates, it's "Dixieland Jazz" and I hear nothing "Asian" in the music, so it may not be what you're looking for. Just thought I would throw it out there for your consideration.

If you can't find it in print, I could "hook you up" with it.

Bonnie Raitt's "Give It Up or Let Me Go" has a real New Orleans sound to it as well.

Cheers, rather than looking for the asian instrumentation i'm looking at the original Orleans influenced sound. I've grown up without really hearing a lot of it and its a sound i really wanna hear more, but its hard to know what to google.

A better example of what i want from the above song is something with a similar tempo, kind of demonstrated in this video

Just that slow, groovey sort of stuff

Cheers for replying!
