I have been a long time member of the AGF among other forums. I was totally unaware of this forum until recently so I thought I would check it out. I like what I see.
I have been an acoustic guitar player most of my life...about 37 years now. I also worked in radio for a about thirteen years way back when and have turned my attention to alternative tunings and finger style guitar of the past ten years or so. I own several guitars and have recently taken up the mandolin for kicks and giggles. So far, mostly giggles on that front:D
My main guitars are a McIlroy AJ25cx (#111) and a custom Brook Taw made about a year ago. I compose and record instrumental fingerstyle music in my spare time. I released a CD about five years ago and have a new CD coming out this June. I buy and sell guitars and recoding equipment on a frequent basis so this forum seems like a good fit. My current recoding chain includes an Apogee Mini Me and two Gefell mics (300 & 930). I am a ProTools user but am familiar with Audacity and Garage Band. Not sure what else I can tell you except I earn my living as an educator at the secondary and college levels.
I am looking forward to getting to know this forum.
