Looking for ideas on pedals to take my solo tone to the next level when going into an already overly distorted amp (mesa boogie mark V).
I've got a Beano Boost and Sunface (poor man's sunlion) that really make my PRS scream, but it just doesn't have the same effect on my other guitars (in particular my JPXI...almost makes it weaker, threadier).
Not looking for a plexi tone as I plan on getting an amp for that in the future, not necessarily looking for the violin tone either.
I've been looking at the skinpimp buzzaround and skinbender pedals, but I haven't seen many clips of them being used for lead or into distorted amps. Maybe I should be looking for something other than a fuzz?
Any ideas?
