Changing strings in my Alvarez-Yari. But can't get the G string peg to pop free. I've tried reaching through the sound hole and nudging from the bottom without luck...

Any help, ideas or pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks

Needle nose pliers work every time, just be careful and put something over the peg to protect it from the pliers' "teeth".

I use the notch on my string winder.

i had this problem, i solved it by giving the little bugger a whack with a lump hammer....i did have to get a guitar tech to replace the bridge afterwards..........

Holy cow!!! Don't use a hammer or pliers!

A $5 string winder has a little notch that is designed to lever out the pins no matter how tight without hurting your guitar.

I picked up a peg puller tool at the local GC, it was with junk near the register. I don't remember the name or who makes but I will look and post that info later.

Stick your hand inside the sound hole and tap it upward with a small piece of wood.
