I bought my son a classical guitar and want to replace the strings on it. I know little about nylon strings. Thanks

I've always liked Augustine Blues

Been years since I played classical guitar but my favorites were (in order of preference):
Augustine Blue label bases with Consertiste Trebles. Best tone/intonation but expensive!
D'Addario Pro-Arte - the most consistent and best intonation.
Augustine Blue label with Imperial Trebles - great sound, but somewhat inconsistent.
Augustine Blue label - good tone, but the trebles were very inconsistent.

Savarez Red Cards are my absolute favorite. They tend to wear out fairly quickly though.

I'm guessing from the tone of your question that he isn't a serious student of classical guitar...so any, like Martin nylon strings would be fine. Get two packs as stringing the open headstock can be a bit of a pain and remember there is lots of stretch in the nylon strings. If you are a deep classical player you probably don't want stretch the strings as that might not help intonation. Other wise be prepared to yank away.
