Is it as simple as replacing the tubes myself? or do I need to take it to a professional to have them biased and so on...

I can't give you a definitive answer on the professional rebias but I can tell you that over the years I have replaced tubes in my Pro Jr three times with matched sets of power tubes without any issue.

Typically it's a "do it yourself" job.

The Pro Junior doesn't have a bias adjustment -- you'd have to change a resistor or install a bias pot. These amps run pretty hot, so I'd advise asking for a cool-running pair of EL84s. Mike (Blue Strat, above) can hook you up with some good tubes.

I just throw JJs in mine and keep rockin'. No bias and they run power tubes hot and they don't last long but sound great. Gotta get it modded to be able to set the bias.
