Hey all:

I'm aware that Anderson Amps makes a 6V6 / EL84 amp that has a blending knob. I believe it's like 2 amps and you can either have 6V6 or EL84 OR you can blend the sound between both of them

I'd like to find something that blends 6L6's with EL84's. Is this possible? Does anyone know where to look for something like this?

Cheers

Mesa Blue Angel used 6V6's and EL-84's. Not sure about 6L6's...

Egnater Rebels (6V6 and EL-84) and Renegades (6L6 and EL-34).

The Mesa Blue Angel let you use two 6V6, four EL84, or all six the same time. The SimulClass Mesa amps would let you use 6L6 mixed with EL34.

THD BiValve let you mix and match pretty much any two power tubes.

Guytron head has an EL84 section that feeds a EL34 section.

You could get an Egnater Renegade and replace the EL-34s with Yellow Jackets or something similar with EL-84s in them.

I have a Blue Angel, and you can substitute 6L6's in for the 6V6's, which I currently have done. It gives a little more low end, not too much more overall headroom. Can keep up with a conscientious drummer, but won't keep up with a twin pounding away. I really like the blended setting.

Kingsley Tone Baron can take a variety of Octal tubes 6L6, EL34, 6V6, KT66, KT77, 6550 ETC.

The sockets are in pairs and you can turn them on and off 7 watts up to 60 depending on what tubes you are running in what mode. You can run two 6V6's and two EL34;s etc

Gabriel Stinger does this I believe.

THD Flexi-50.....You can blend different tubes AND (easily) re-bias without a tech.

The Victoria Regal II allows you to use a multitude of various tubes.

Mesa Road King I/II ... allows blending (or standalone) of EL34 and 6L6's. I suppose you could also use Yellow Jackets and replace the 34's with 84's...

Someone mentioned Mesa Simulclass, I would specifically throw in my love for the MKIII I picked up about 8 months ago, great speaker and 6L6 + EL34's are a perfect match; 6L6's are too perfect of a response and have little compression, yet have a nice punch and authoritative presence, while EL34's have great compression and a nice midrange warmth.

I tried my MKIII with only EL34's or only 6L6's and the mixture is definitely the winner, enough for my to buy a pricey speaker that could handle the bumped-up wattage.

Mesa Boogie Mark series. I've got mixed tubes in my IV, and love it.

overrated.

doesn't do 1/100th of a change to your sound that speakers do.
