My 1971 BMR was working one day, completely dead the next. No standby light, no glowing tubes, no love. I've checked the circuit breaker on my electrical panel and tested the outlet, and all is well. I replaced the power and standby switches two years ago. I haven't made any mods lately. The fuse is intact physically and electrically. The PT was humming for the past two years, possibly because it didn't know the words, but I think that was a sign. I'll double check the power cord connections.

Do you think it's the power tranny? All helpful advice will be greatly appreciated.

the gentleman didn't want to put any more money in it after going thru the trouble of changing the PT and having it go down less than 30 days later. What I found was the fuse case was cracked and intermittant.. 2$ part later and it was back to normal..

I'd double check connections and continuity thru the fuse base (power off/unplugged..)

I've also heard that one amp was repaired after owner's wife unplugged it out of the wall like her vacumm cleaner.. whipping it so that it broke one leg of the connection at the plug..

start from the cord and work your way in..

Der.............So I took another look at the terminals on the power switch and found a cold solder joint. All is well.

Thank you, Mr. Coffee!
