Late 60's Twin Reverb question

Hey guys. 1st time posting, long time reader.

I'm in the midst of restoring a sliverface, non-master vol. Twin.
The chasis has been restored and I just got a brand new reverb tank (Accutronics 4ab3c1b).

When I plug it in (using fresh RCA cables) the Speed, Intensity and Reverb knobs do nothing. But if i bump the tank I can hear the "reverb crash" sound.

So, I guess my question is this: Do I need a seperate Transformer for the reverb? or do the RCA plugs supply the needed power?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I have never restored an amp before and I'm just hoping to get this thing back to the way it should be.

Any help or links you could give would be great!

Do you have the footswitch? Without it, the tremolo ('vibrato') will not work. You can get around this easily by making a shorted RCA plug and putting it in the vibrato pedal jack.

Do you have the reverb tank connected the right way round? If you don't, you don't get any audible reverb on the guitar signal, and there is a faint reverb crash if you bump the tank (but it should be deafening!). Try swapping the 'in' and 'out' plugs unless you're certain you have it the right way round already.

You don't need any extra power source for the reverb, but if it still isn't working properly, you may have either a bad connection in one of the RCA cables, or a bad tube - one of the two either side of the reverb drive transformer. The one closest to the power tubes is the recovery, the one on the other side (12AT7) is the driver and often burns out, since it's effectively being used as a power tube.

The footswitch!!! I love simple solutions! I don't have one yet. I made a shorted RCA plug and that did the trick. Thanks man. You were a GREAT help.
