i really get a kick outta how that tiny little mp3 recorder with the internal mic grabs this stuff.
always fun to share the noise...even when it's a little too noisy!http://www.hugeracksinc.com/board/images/smiles2/icon_razz.gif

Tremendous! If my left fingers could move that fast my right arm would be broken from patting myself on the back. Reminded me a bit of Pete Cosey's brilliant playing on Miles' Pangaea.

I got an iRiver ipf799 and a Sony mic for it and I too am seriously impressed with the sound quality I got out of it at a recent jam. They are really cool little devices. Total digital recording for about $200 AND it plays MP3, does voice recording with a built in mic plus FM stations. All in the palm of your hand. Smaller than many iPods.
wow!
nice tone and playing man. what amp and guitar?

wow!
nice tone and playing man. what amp and guitar?
thank you very much! i appreciate it very much.
the gear used was....
-burny 335 copy w/ arcane pickups http://www.arcane-inc.com (http://www.arcane-inc.com/)
-bogner uberschall(with a 5751 preamp tube in V1 position) & matching uberkab(w/2 celestion classic 80s and 2 75s @ 8ohms)
-and the lead tone is no pedals, just the uberschall and the guitar's volume knob. those pickups really are awesome!
-in the amp's loop there's a tiny bit of reverb from an old ibanez sdr-1000
-the long echos are coming from a lexicon pcm-42 in the loop too.
rock on!

Which model was this track recorded with. Does it have the option to plug a mini-jacked stereo mic in?
to be honest, i'm not sure of the exact model since it's not mine.
i've only just seen it up close a few times and i do know that it's a tiny blue thing, and has a jack for an external mic.
also the recordings were originally captured @128k mp3.
rock on!

It's the iRiver ipf799 (see original post). Yes you can plug a mini stereo mic into the line in for external recording. You can also set the input recording volume and rate (128, 256, etc. up to 256). I'd be happy to email you a sound file made with it. Just shoot me an email.
