Hi all! I have two 2x12 cabs lying around (one with greenbacks and the other with G12Hs). I am thinking of using them both SIMULTANEOUSLY with my Marshall 6100 30th Anniversary head. Is this possible? Can I just put the speaker cables from each cab to the two speakers outs on the head? And how should I wire the speakers - how many ohms, series/parallel etc.? I know nothing of electrics so that's why I ask.

Any dangers or things to avoid?

Thanks!

If the individual cabinet impedances are eight ohms each, then select four ohms on the amp head. I'm assuming you don't have a meter, or you could measure. Typical 8 ohm cabinets frequently measure about 6 ohms or so. If in doubt, consult a friend who can check for you.

no problem
2 16 ohm cabs = 8 ohms etc
