I searched for an acoustic picture thread and didn't find one. Everyone else seems to get one, so why not acoutics? Let's start one.

I have a Takamine EG568C. I've had it for three years, which is as long as I've played acoustic. I've been playing it exclusively, haven't touched the equipment in my sig for weeks. It looks like this:

http://www.guitar.com.au/guitars/acoustic/takamine/guitar_images/568c.gif
Sorry, but I only have a camera phone and I can't get a good picture of it. I just used an image search for the pic.

It's not a great guitar, but sound good enough for now. I'm conidering selling all my electric equipment to get a really nice acoustic.

Enough rambling, show your acoustics.

Ok, there have got to be more people that are proud of their acoustics. I know this forum is slow, but come on.

DiazDude, the two darker guitars look to be aging nicely. How old are they?

The 00028EC is early 2003. The 000038H is 1999.
They both have Martin's "Ageing Toner" Finish.
The 12 string is a 2005 w/standard finish.

Nothing fancy, just a solid Koa Tacoma Pk series guitar. I had a Fishman Matrix P/U installed. It plays and sounds great.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ishmael109/MVC-010S.jpg

1986 Martin OM 28HB Cutaway. Bought it while I was working on my MFA @ Bennington, back in "87. The only guitar I've ever held on to. In 1990 TJ Thompson dropped in bar frets and the guitar opened up. Last summer Dominick Ramos practically brought it back from the dead. It's the only 22 fret acoustic that I've ever played.

My Gibson Hummingbird Artist....

I am no fan of Guitar Center, but I visit occasionally to get a set of strings. I saw this Gibbie and knew I had to somehow get a hold of it. I had planned on buying a regular Hummingbird from my smaller local dealer, but I couldn't let go of this one. And the fact that it was a custom limited run made it a little more appealing.

It's easily one of the nicest mahogany body acoustics I've ever played. Retains the sweetness and volume of the regular Hummingbird, but has much better sustain because of the longer scale neck. Also plays like a breeze for an acoustic; very comfortable neck. Isn't she a beaut?

Here's mine. She ain't pretty, no where close to all original (in addition to the knobs on top and non-adjustable bridge, someone also put locking strap buttons on it :NUTS) but she plays easier than most electrics and sounds absolutely dy-no-mite.

Well I still play acoustic more then electric, love em all equal but one guitar stands out (my wife actually has forbidden me to sell two guitars this one and my beat up Takamine cuz it was used in our wedding by me)
I have the aforementioned Takamine EF-341SC (like the Boss), a D-28 Clone with Brz woods, a killer 000-C Barbarossa, and some cheapies that I've lend to other people.
My pride and joy? Charis SJ Brz Adirondack.

Very nice, R9. Has anyone ever played a Metisco? Gene Metisco was a sax player(two at a time) and Luthier in PA. He's made one-offs for EVH and Alan Jackson that I know of, and once I found one of his guitars in a shop in like 95 or so, and it was amazing. Couldn't afford it at the time, but If I saw it again I wouldn't hesitate. Your guitar's body reminded me of that "one that got away" Metisco.

Love the pics of all the great acoustics! Here are my two contributions - a Lowden O-32 Indian rosewood and a Taylor 614CE. I have a EMG piezo in the Lowden. The Taylor has a Matrix system which dominates the side of the guitar, but after years of putting pickups in great acoustics that did not come with them (Breedlove Northwest, Tacoma Koa Parlor, etc.) and gettng mixed results, I decided to just go with the guitars that already had a pickup in them that I could check out when I was buying the guitar. The Matrix may be gawdy, but it works pretty well.

First post here:

My #1, Ibanez AW100. Went shopping for a dread, looking for a lower level Martin and came home with this. Right out of the box, played great, sounded great, nice and open sounding, so I bought it. Best $350 I ever spent. Threw on a Hipshot Xtender on the E string, and is still my #1.
http://www.tplyons.com/gear/d/113-2/IMG_0249.JPG

My #2, Epiphone PR-150-NA. Inherited from a family friend who passed away. Used for alternate tunings mostly.
http://www.tplyons.com/gear/d/131-2/IMG_0254.JPG

And a 3rd on the way. Alis baritone acoustic to my specs. No pics yet.
* 28-5/8" scale baritone, tuned BEADF#b.
* Lutz spruce top, primavera back and sides.
* Snakewood binding, gold hardware.
* Signature graphite/wood bracing.

My beloved Goodall Rosewood Standard. This one might be coming up for sale soon. Rosewood sides/back, bearclaw top, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard, pearl rosette and inlays, L.R. Baggs Dual Source. The best acoustic I've ever owned. I love its tone and feel, but I have my eye on another guitar...so I'm torn at the moment.

They also do them with electric pickups and dual outs.. the whole nine yards. They've been at it for 20+ years...

Just one but a bit unique because it was made cutaway in 1996 before Taylor offered the PS-12 as a cutaway.

May be in the emporium fairly soon.

Here's a night-time shot of my new Ryan Mission Grand Concert.... I found a nice Celtic knot desin on the Net and re-worked it for the 12th fret.... Larry Robinson inlayed it.... there's very fine abalone inlay around the fretboard (and headstock, not seen here.)

This is my favorite for sitting around the house noodling. I believe it's an old Lyon & Healy. If anyone knows anything about it, please let me know. Sides and back are mahogany that have been "streaked" to appear to be rosewood. Check out the unique placement of the third dot... Pawn shop acquisition from the 70's.

This Guitar is a lot more than eye candy. It's my second Gibson from Mandolin Brothers on Staten Island. It just sounds so bad.

A "Custom Shop" Super Jumbo with a deep "Venetian" cutaway.
Highly figured choice flamed maple back, sides and neck with a sitka spruce top.
Matchbooked, and triple bound Tobbacco Burst with split parallelogram pick guard, head stock, and a Super 400 neck. Gold Grover Imperial tuning machine heads.
Inlaid and bound moustache bridge, bound heel and bottom peg plus matchstick marquetry on back of guitar

Now don't get too close or my labrador B.B.King will play n' lick. This is a player not a museum piece and BB plays ruff.

Lots of nice guitars in this thread!

Here's one I've had for a while. 1965 J50. Went through a neck reset last year and plays just like a new one now.
