AYA R Comp

i've been using my A-Ya extensively for the past 5 months or so. and i love it. i had been going through compressor after compressor and a lot of em are really good, but i've been really pleased with the Aya for it's clarity even when compressing hard, and the ability to be very subtle if needed. the only other compressor i still use from time to time is my Retro Sonic compressor. but the A-ya gets more work. pricey... but great.

I am intriqued with it based on the Michael Thompson demo of it on the Xotic site, but don't have the $$$ to pop for one yet.

Once I do have the $$$, I will though.

They're not any higher than a Keeley or an Analogman.

But there are different. I've owned the Keeley. I now own the Analogman Mini Bi-Comp.

The Demeter (which I also owned) is different than both and just as nice; the Aya seems more in that vein, hence my interest.

I'm hoping its in the vein of the BJF Pale Green Comp. I just got one, but haven't tried it out yet. I was looking for something subtle, b/c I don't need the heavy/bold compression from my Bi-Comp anymore.
