Wouldn't call that steam punk, I don't think, but beautiful work.

beautiful work! too much beautiful work for one piece, however.

also, the term "steam punk" makes me want to resign from humanity.

Does it come with a doily to use when you set your beer on top?

Looks like something that would be emitted after Gary glitter and Dave navarro were stuck in a cell together for some time....

I am disappointed. I was expecting the cabinet to be filled with pirate booty, but it is just a speaker.

I NEED this amp for my gig down at the VFW!

I personally really like aspects of it, but think the styling is a little disjointed.

I remember seeing this a while back. Reminds me of something out of Pirates of the Caribbean

I can appreciate all the time and labor that went into it, but I think it's hideous.

This was a commissioned build so obviously the customer thought it was to his personal liking. The builder built it per the customers specs. So, having said that, the workmanship is top knotch. I also still think it fits the whole Steampunk area. If you're old enough to remember the original television series The Wild, Wild West with Robert Conrad and Ross Martin, that whole look and feel is/was what is now termed Steampunk. The look of the cabinet most definitely belongs to that era.

It would take Ed Hardy to tart an amp up more than this one.

Not really Steam Punk.

scottrolf

Not really Steam Punk.
Actually it is. Steampunk is a new term for an old design area. Luggage, clothes, watches, clocks, furniture and just about any movie made from a Jules Vern novel. Look at the interrior of the Nautilus. All "Steampunk". The amps steam trunk design fits nicely into this niche.

For $22k it should include a Dream Catcher to complete the aesthetic.

That's beautiful but it's about $20K for the ornaments because the amp is worth about $2K or so.

I think I will wait for the 3D printer files to become available on bit torrent.
Then I will print a cool matching guitar as well.

The amp in the op is missing something,, GEARS, must have working gears and submarine style hatches & steam relief valves.

I usually don't like ornate gear, but I think that's beautiful and super cool-looking. I can't imagine subjecting it to the vicissitudes of a bar gig, though.

How much for one knob?
Love me some ornate western steam/medievalpunk chickenhead.
I want my master volume to know how special it is.
