Hi there-
I need to replace the reverb tank in a vox ac 15 (90's Korg reissue) that is current reverbless. After some searching it is unclear as to what the proper impedance values are for a replacement. I have contacted accutronics and they have suggested (but were not sure) a 4DB2C1D - 250ohm IP impedance, 2250ohm OP impedance, Medium (1.75 to 3.0 sec) decay, Input Insulated / Output Grounded, Vertical Connectors Down.

I was wondering if anyone knows the proper tank for this amp and/or could give me the numbers off a tank in their ac15 korg reissue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

As nobody has replied I guess I will. Alas, no empirical data here on Korg tank. Is this an op-amp driven/recovered reverb system? If so the Accutronics Info is probably correct... (seems it is SS, but I could be wrong...)

Is your original repairable? (I realize I may be to only person with the patience and lack of economic judgement to repair one) but what's it's problem?

Present contruction Accutronics output transducers failures are common, but I've never seen a Korg fail. (Never seen an old Accutronics or Hammond fail either if it wasn't abused in some way.)

Please advise as I may be able to help you fix original...

Jon-
Thanks for taking the time to look into this for me. I was under the impression that the verb was tube driven? Anyhow here's the deal - I'm in the process of buying the amp and the original reverb tank is long gone. Apparently it was removed by a previous owner as a measure to 'improve the amp's tone'. The current owner had a tank installed and it doesn't work - his current tech advised him that it was an incorrect impedance.

I have not purchased the amp yet, but am looking into this so I can be ready when I do get it.

I also want to check the proper spec versus what is currently installed such to see if the problem may be something other than the tank.
