Don't got much space left on the board and I'm really GASing for a Uni-vibe type pedal. Would like it to have a Volume knob and do the Hendrix thing fairly well.

Thanks in advanced for the suggestions.

I agree with the Drybell. I love mine. However, the volume is a trimpot.
The EQD Depths and Mojo Hand Villanova both have volume knobs.

Agreed. After trying seven different vibes, not only is the Villanova in a small footprint, but it sounded as good as the Sweet Sound Mojo to my ears... Better price point too.

(Mine is for sale in the Emporium too)

It's not fancy, but the Dano Cool Cat vibe sounds great and is relatively small.

QUESTION - the villanova and the depths- do they do the pitch vibrato mode that you find in some vibes?

i really like the pitch warble sound in a vibe, but if they dont have a chorus/vibrato switch, are they able to pull off that sound?

Even less fancy and smaller is the Danelectro Chicken Salad. It may look like a toy but actually sounds pretty dang good.

Edit* looks like they have been discontinued.

The Depths is a cool vibe in a small enclosure, but I don't think it does totally traditional uni-vibe sounds. It can get way throbbier and crazier. I thought it excelled at making cool effect noises than actual uni-vibe sounds.

Mcnabbanov - Getting rid of it already? ;)

chicken salad too

what is a small footprint?

is a small megavibe a small footprint? or an aquavibe?

b/c compared to the 'large' versions, it's like half the size, but not nearly as small as a drybell or even a phase 45

really love the chicken salad by the way

i believe the villanova does have pitch vibrato

the Lovepedal is as small as it gets, but i've heard it's actually just a modded phaser, so it doesn't get really throbby on the low end.

I also really loved the Voodoo Labs Micro Vibe when i tried it- simple setup and great sound. Not sure how small you're looking to go, but at least it has top-mounted jacks

thank you sir - i will look into it!

the drybell looks super awesome - but the price tag turns me off a bit.

That initially is what turned me off for the Drybell. Plus I think there is a waiting list. Wanna just grab something and jam ya know?

Thanks for the suggestions. Gonna check everything out and make a decision.

had both villanova and drybell ....sent them back quick smart(didn't have near enough swirl for my liking)
stuck with Jams Retro vibe ...more swirl less heavy thud

Really liking the Drybell. Had a few of the better vibes in the past but the Drybell has the smallest footprint and is a breeze to power up and sounds great. There is a reason you don't see many popping up in the emporium and when they do they go fast.

another vote for the depths!

while it can do some out there stuff, the univibe sound is in there. following the suggested settings in the manual for the UV sound is an excellent start. just take a few minutes to understand how it works and what each knob is doing and you'll be there.

personally i couldn't get along with the pitch vibrato in the villanova. came on too quickly for my liking.

i've also had a chicken salad. can't beat it for 30 bucks or so if you can find em. might want to put it in a bypass looper though, the plastic enclosure isn't the best if you're gigging.

One other you could consider in the Moen Shaky Jimi. I just got one to get the Trower sound and think it is pretty good. Under $65 delivered. It has generally good reviews on Amazon. I got mine from this place:
