Hi guys,
This is a four or five year old live excerpt from the tune Sunny. Recorded at a big outside bash called Septemberfest. Lots o beer and BBQ....
Horrid cassette recording! I had to really try to clean it up.... Awful tone. It is my Jaros into Rivera Quiana. Just plain bad.... Those V30s in the Rivera were crap. Bad match for the amp IMO. This is shortly before I threw the towel in and put the Rivera away in the basement.
Anywho.... Here is the beer induced 5 minute Sunniathon! LOL See if you can make it all the way through.,... :horse (what I did to the tune! haha!)

On another note, I really miss playing with other humans... I may just need to make an effort to roust up some guys and form a band.

Me first-Im here first!!!! good recording & "ya's"!!!
Feel like you're gonna have a mike Stern meltdown......you ARE!!!!!-
great solo-like the apres-keg feel as opposed to the morning coffee takes-
its sounds more like a Strrat one to me-so I relate easy-lotsa of pointy sound
[im still listening-going to bridge pick-up-even skunkier- hey !!! thats my favorite chromatic lick too!!!
how many times can the drummer go 4 onthe snare tho!
greasy dooooooode!!! -like the audience indicated -whooo-hooo!!!:dude

Smokin' Scott! I hear ya with the "human" thing. I haven't played with other musicians in over 6 years. Time to get back in the saddle.

The tone beyond sucked...BUT...the playing was my fave playing of yours. Way cooler than the static backing tracks stuff. YUP, you gotta put a band together. (Told ya so many time though).

AGREED !! The only nice thing about backing tracks is that you never have to worry about the drummer being confused as to whether it's a DRUM solo or a GUITAR solo !! :jo
( see above clip for an example of what I'm talking about );)

Excellent guitar playing, unbelievably horrid drumming. ;)
That said, +1 to Ed's comments - ain't gonna muster much fire/interation over a backing track.
Get out playing, ya twerp - no excuses! :)

I hope my previous comments about the drummer and his 1/4 note snare
hits didn't spark a mini drum-lover sub-thread!!:D
Seriously tho I do think y'all kicked some serious keg-butt on this!!

Let's just say the drummer and the bassist could barely stand... And it wasn't just the booze. They were beating their own dead "horse"
I haven't seen either guy in ages! I hoep they are OK.
At least homey never played their game.
Thanks for the comments! I do believe I should follow the advice. I was getting all teary eyed reminiscing over the days of live playing. It has been ages....

Dang Scott, I heard more penetonic road map in there than I can ever remember hearing from you. Sounded great. I like hearing the standard penetonic licks mixed with the Scott-o-tonic licks. Makes for a very entertaining listen!
By the way, my band just broke up after having a very buisy 15 year run, and I already miss playing with other humans...go git you a jam band son! There aint nothing like it!!

Cool old school Scott Lerner......
(start subliminal message: scott you want to do a live studio or club jazz record, nothing will stand in your way...you must get this done! end subliminal message)
As far as the tone? I don't think the recording (cassette?) was helping much...........

Would care less if you used that kind of tone all the time
you'll always sound musical no matter what ...
Totally dug hearing you go for it ...
Sometimes it's just too much fun to not go for it..
& it contagious to the listener who totally gets caught up in it ...
However, I'd like to get that drummer's cymbols & throw 'em
into the deepest lake there is .... :jo
