Picked up a used blonde G&L Legacy from Guitar Center yesterday. I've been looking for another strat style guitar for almost a year and I saw this one and immediatly fell in love. This thing plays like a dream and I love the pickups. The tone wiring is different from a traditional strat (don't know if this is the original wiring) but it sort of reminds me of the S-1 switching thats in the Am Deluxe strats but in a tone knob. The finish is thin and beautiful and there is almost no paint in the tremelo block cavity. It did have some rust and dings but we cleaned it up and polished it and here she is:

I had a G&L Skyhawk for my main road guitar for years. I loved the tone controls. Top one was bass and bottom one treble. VERY versatile! I have considered looking into getting my Fenders wired that way.

The schematics are available on the G&L site.

Yea, I love the tone controls as well, seems to me that the top one works more as a normal tone control and the bottom tone control thickens the tone a little. I love it.

played this thing for almost 8 hours today, have to say it plays like a dream for me and to think only a day before I bought the guitar I had little knowledge of G&L. Anyone else with a G&L? I'd like to see and hear about it please.

G&L's are awesome guitars. Probably the best value for the money. I've been dealing with them for years and their quality is consistanly outstanding.
