62 Bassman Replacement OT

I picked up a 62 Bassman that had a blown output transformer. I was going to replace it with a Mercury Magnetics replacement but I saw an original output transformer from a 68 Bassman for sale. Does anyone know if the 68 Bassman OT is essentially the same as a 62 Bassman OT, or am I better off just going with the Mercury Magnetics OT. Thanks

If your '62 Bassman uses the 125A13A, 4 ohm output,
then yes, because the '68 also uses the 125A13A.

However, the 68 might be damaged, on the way
out, etc.

The MM tranny will definitely sound great
and comes with a warranty.

Thanks AmpNerd, that is solid advice. Must be a reason for why they pulled it out in the first place and it seemed a little strange to replace with a '68 OT anyway. I'll go for the Mercury Magnetics.
